"I want to help"

We went to my parents house last weekend for a long overdue turkey dinner. Most of the time during the prepping of the food you hear, "I want to help". Grace LOVES to help Maw Maw in the kitchen. It is truly one her favorite things to do. Olivia loves to help because she want to be just like her big sister. They both had a great time!

Soccer Family

Chad has been coaching boys soccer for six years now. Their are a couple boys that have been with him every year. One family is the Casbarro. We have grown together, especially in the last four years. We even joke that Matt (the 14 year old soccer player) has two dads...Chad and his own dad and that their four year old Cory will one day marry Olivia. We love this family SO much and so glad God has brought us together through soccer.
Matt made the JV soccer team at Grayson High School. So our family has become Grayson fans. I wish I could of made more games then I did. Go MATT! We are proud of the soccer player you have grown to become.
Me and Jennifer at a game. I tried to get Cory and Phil in a picture but Cory wouldn't stay still. :)

My Sweet Grace

I wanted to remember this memory...below is a message from Grace's teacher yesterday.

Joni Nash Tignor March 24 at 7:20pm

Grace was SO EXCITED when she walked in the classroom. She said that yesterday when mommy went to the "baby store" they put jelly on her belly and I heard the baby breathe and they said it was a girl and her name is going to be Harper! She told me Everything in one breath- I think! She was So Precious telling me. I told Ms. Shannon to come in the room where she could tell her. Too cute!!! You have an Amazing little girl!! And now you will have 3! What a Blessing! God is So good! Love to you all. Joni :)

And Soon There Will Be Three

It's a girl

Yesterday, Chad, Grace and I went to find out the gender of baby #3. We found out it is another sweet girl. None of our were surprised, all assuming it was a girl. Grace was more excited about going then she was watching the baby. It is kind of hard to see all the parts. But on the way home she was screaming from excitement that it was a girl while holding the ultrasound picture the tech gave her. (And today she even took her picture of the baby to school) I feel very blessed to be able to be pregnant again while Grace is at this sweet age. She talks to the baby, kisses my belly and even watches what I eat or drink. The other day she told me to stop drinking a can coke because the baby does not like it. I tried to explain to her that it was caffeine free but she still didn't want me to drink it.
The baby looks healthy and is already measuring a week ahead. Not sure if they b/c my due date is a little off or b/c it's going to be another BIG baby. Grace was 8 lb. 10 oz and Olivia was 9 lb. 1 oz... and they were both before 40 weeks.

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 19 weeks
Size of baby: 14 oz per ultrasound and measuring 20 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained four pounds in the last four weeks

Sleep: Still getting good sleep at night and still taking naps during the day if I can.
Symptoms: Fatigue, frequent trips to the bathroom, tummy growing, moodiness
Best Moment this week: Taking Grace to the ultrasound and listening to Olivia say Harper!
What I am looking forward to: Going through all the clothes stored.

Olivia at Two

This blog is a little late but here it goes...
Olivia is now two years old! She is a spunk and loves to be the center of attention. She is a very happy girl and loves to be with her mama. Olivia turned two and then went through major transition. Within the last week she is paci free and in a big girl bed. They were both pretty easy transitions. She talks so much more now that she has nothing in her mouth. Olivia loves to talk and in-between tangible speech she will have some jumbled words that no one can understand. Words that you will here daily are...more, cup, mama, night night, no, stop, dog, cow, come, dada. Common phrases are, stop it, come here, where's dada, Aidan coming, i want more, dog dog eat...stop...come, i wanna go, i wanna eat, what's that. She loves to try to sing and it's really cute. Her favorite song is the Barney song remade by Maw Maw. She is very interested in the potty but mommy is so not ready. She loves to go sit on the potty every time you change your diaper and has even gone a few times. Olivia is really into books right now and loves for you to ask her to find items on the page. She knows animals and most of the sounds they make. Hands down her favorite animal to find is a cow. If you ask her she can tell you how old she is and what her name is. She loves to play with kids and her sister, although we do have sibling rivalry. She loves to try to count with Grace and just the other day she counted out three items for me. Olivia enjoys coloring, watching tv, her baby dolls (which she know sleeps with every night), jumping on the trampoline, and trying to be a BIG kid. She gives the best hugs and kisses...when she wants to but doesn't seem to like daddy's facial hair. She is an ok eater. She loves goldfish and juice (water with a splash of juice). My favorite part of her personality is how funny she tries to be. For instances she tooted the other day, I looked at her and asked, "Livie did you toot?", she looked me right in the eye and said, "No paw paw did", while grinning ear to ear. And might I add it was just the two of us at Target...no paw paw around. Too funny!
I took Olivia to her two year check up yesterday. She did awesome. Her ears were clear and everything else looked great. She was a little anemic but the doctor wasn't worried she told me it may be because of all the milk she drinks during the day. She had her finger pricked and one shot. She cried a little during both but then got dressed and ran down the hall for candy. She weighed in at 27 lbs even and was exactly 36 inches long. Putting her into 50% for height and 90% for height. Almost right where Grace was at this age. And to make up for the shot I took her for ice cream afterwards.

Moving up

We have been talking about moving the girls into the same room for awhile. There is just something sweet to me about sisters sharing a room. I know one day they will want their space but for now this is our plan. Before I became pregnant the idea was to move them together and then make one of the rooms a playroom. Now the plan is to leave one room a nursery.
Since I have been pregnant there really hasn't been much talk about the rooms....we have just been waiting for the ultrasound to find out the sex of our third so we can plan. But last week Olivia went to sleep several times crying for a bed so we decided to go look for bunk beds this past weekend to see what is out there. We found a great deal at our first stop and brought it home all before lunch on Saturday.
The first night both girls were very excited about their beds but bedtime was interesting. Olivia ended up sleeping in her crib that night and Grace slept on the bottom bunk. On the second day Olivia took a four hour nap in her new bed. And then last night...well check out the picture below, we are officially sharing a room now!

***Update - We are now on day four of bunk beds. Olivia is doing awesome! She has slept in her bed since nap on second day. After the second day we didn't have any more crying or trying to get out of bed. And even this morning Grace got up at seven, climbed down the ladder, open and closed the door, and Olivia slept in till 8:30!!!!!!

Frequency

We frequent the restaurants around town. Sometimes once a week sometimes more...depending on the week. Olivia does very well sitting or standing in the booth beside me. Grace is always such a good girl, especially if they have crayons. But 9 out of 10 times she has to go to the potty right in the middle of dinner.
Our favorite place to go eat as a family is the local Mexican restaurant. The girls LOVE the "white" cheese dip. Chad and I have been going there almost once a week for over five years now. Sad but true! And oh so yummy!
These pictures are from Taco Mac. The girls were excited b/c they had white dip.
Grace continues to grow like a weed. Look at her tummy showing b/c her winter clothes are getting too short. Come on Spring!!!

You have been good to us

Dear Paci - You have been good to Olivia the last two years but it is time for you to go! She is a big girl now and does not need you anymore. Thank you for all the times you were there for us from quieting down a crying baby to helping go to sleep to hushing a screaming toddler. I am sorry I had to cut the top off of you but a mom must do what needs to be done. Olivia so missed you during her first nap without out, crying for over an hour, but night time was much better. She only missed you for a few minutes and then slept all through the night. We will miss you but will see you again in August.
Love - Mom

Family Time

On March 3, an amazing lady passed away. Lena Maddox was Chad's mema and Grace & Olivia's great grandmother. She lived a wonderful life of 90 years and life an impact on many people hearts. We traveled to Warner Robins this past week to celebrate her life. The highlights of the trip were the girls spending time with family and staying in a hotel with a swimming pool.

It only took a few minutes for Olivia warming up to the water then she became a little fish. I can't wait to see what the summer is like for both of the girls!
