Spirit Day

Grace had her first spirit day for Cheerleading. All the squads from kindergarten - 8th grade come together and show off in front of friends and family. The squad preforms together and then each child competes for best jump.

Grace had many of us come and support her. She did great cheering with her squad and did an amazing job with her jump. She competed against 24 kindergarten and 1st graders. And my girl won 2nd place!!!! Proud Mama!!!

American Girl Birthday

Grace's six birthday was spent at American Girl Bistro. Grace invited three friends, their mommy's (my friends), Olivia and Maw Maw. I believe Grace had a wonderful time. She grinned ear to ear the whole time. BUT I might of had more fun then she did. When the waitress walked us to our table, with lots of pink, special little seats and cups for the dolls and a menu geared just prefect for my girls taste...while it melted my heart and I might just of had a tear or two in my heart. It was a magical day and will have to plan it again in the future!

Olivia had pj day at school. She went shopping with me to find a new pair of pj's to wear. She was able to pick out a stuffed animal to bring with her. Which of course was a penguin because that is her favorite animal right now.

And she had to the best day at school. She came home telling me that they hibernated under the tables, woke up and then went looking for food! She loved it!!!!

On the day Grace turned SIX

Regardless of what day their birthdays fall on, I want to make sure they know how special they are. So on January 26th 2012, Grace had a full fun day! She woke up to a donut and a candle, on a birthday plate from her Gigi.
Per her request, rainbow cupcakes were made to share with her classmates. Mommy, daddy, and Olivia enjoyed lunch at her school.

The mantel was decorated when she got home from school. She had a birthday crown on, a certificate from her teacher and some lips on her check also from her teacher.

We went out to dinner at Mexican...her favorite and came home to enjoy cupcakes together.
Daddy had brought home flowers and a balloon.
And her big present...a "big girl" bike!

Ears Pierced

Olivia did it! She had asked when Grace had her ears done in Aug of 2011 but got scared after watching it done. (that was my secret hope). But then in January she began to tell me every day for a week that she wanted her ears done. So for a week I told her how much it would hurt, etc. But the girl kept up. Then on a weekend she started pushing her dad hard to take her. He told her it would hurt then she asked if it was ok if she cried just a little bit...such a cutie. So on a Sunday after church we heading to Claire's for the big event. She was so proud. Sat up in the chair, picked out her ear rings and was ready to go. And she was awesome!!! No tears! And two pretty ears!
