Grace's first USC game

Since USC runs in the family we are all fans! Paw Paw invited Chad and I along with Grace to attend a game with him. We made it a night trip and Maw Maw kept the two little girls. I was SO fun to watch the game through Grace's eyes. She really got into the game...yelling chants, dancing and ask all sorts of football questions.

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving of 2011 was spent at Lake Oconee with Maw Maw and Paw Paw. The girls loved hanging out with them and their is always fun stuff to do. This year we went and watched Santa arrive on a firetruck. The girls were super excited and it was a great introduction to the Christmas season.
All my girls love animals.

The end of Fall soccer season

November 2011
Fall Soccer was another great season. It is awesome having good friends on the team. And having a great coach is not too bad either. Grace ended the season on a good note. I loved hearing the parents from the other team saying positive comments about her like...she is a great player, she has gotten a lot of their goals, etc. I continue to be curious about what Grace will stick with as she gets older.

A new Chapter for Grace...and the family

Grace decided to try a new sport...cheerleading. I was never a cheerleader so this has been a whole new learning experience for us. Grace was super excited about trying it out and I may be a little bias but is very good at it. She is cheering for a K/1st grade team. They started off with a week of camp at the local high school. Grace loved all the high school girls and soaked in everything they taught her. On the last night they has a little performance to show the parents all they had learned. Each team choose two girls that night to preform at the jump off. (I had to learn what this way). Each girl had to go in front of all the parents and show their toe touch on their own. Since their are two K/1st grade teams, there were four girls competing. I was very nervous for Grace and just prayed that she would be brave enough to go in front of every one.
She did it and she did it well. Where she learned how to jump I will never know...but the girl got second place!!!! So proud!

Harper at 15 months

Harper is 15 months now! She is such a mess and so fun. She is a very good independent player. She loves to follow the older kids around but will also play in her room by herself. She loves her baby dolls, cars and LOVES books. She will bring books to Chad and I, then sit for long lengths of time to hear it. Harper loves the outdoors and collecting leaves. She is a sweet girl and loves to kiss everyone. She is beginning to repeat more and more. Her new words are "lulu" for Olivia and "tyty" for Tyler. She also says her own version of "lalolulalo" for where are you. Any time she hears music she starts dancing. She is a great eater, eating anything you give her. She is still taking two naps a day but if the morning nap is a long one then she skips the afternoon one.
She had her 15 month check up and looked great. Weighing in at 23.8 lbs, (65 percentile)and 31.25 inches for height (75 percentile).

REALLY?!?!

So I always wondered what type of parents would allow their child to cut their own hair? And where were the parents when this happened? And where did child get the scissors?

I have become that parent!

Let me back up...Grace came home from school and asked why Olivia's hair was in their trash can. I, of course, was really confused...I asked several times "What do you mean Olivia's hair?". Then it all of sudden hit me and I ran in the bedroom and found the trashcan above.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! OLIVIA RAE!!!!

It could of been worse. Luckily she only gave herself layers on one side. Obviously not that noticeable...it did take scissors and hair in a trashcan for me to notice.

I have NO idea where I was when it happened. When I asked where she got the scissors she said under the sofa??? When I asked why she said..."You told me I needed my hair cut, I was just helping".

So after a loooong talk, I am hoping no more at home hair cuts!

Field Trip

November 2011
Grace had her first field trip with the public school. They went to Watkinsville, GA to the pumpkin patch. Daddy took a day off work and chaperoned.
