Grace's soccer Birthday Party

This year Grace decided to have a soccer birthday party. It worked out great because we had it at Creekside Sports center and I never had to clean my house. :) And we had a teenager who played with the kids on the soccer field for an hour, then helped me with the cake and clean up. It was our first year of also inviting friends from school. Grace listed everybody by name and wanted them all to come. We had a wonderful time.

On Grace's Birth Day

Grace had an exciting day on her actually birthday. Daddy went out and brought home doughnuts for breakfast, mommy brought a cookie cake to school, maw maw and paw paw picked you up from school for a little celebration and we finished off with dinner.
Gracie doesn't like to be the center of attention when their is huge group of people but she loves to feel special with her family. Maw Maw and Paw Paw surprised her at school and took her for yogurt and a little shopping. We took her to Moe's for dinner. Mexican is still her favorite food.

Grace's family birthday party

This year we were able to have a family birthday party for Grace. We had a lot of fun having a taco bar...one of Grace's favorite. Sweet Hudson brought Grace flowers...all his idea! And Grace had a ball playing with cousins and showing off in front of family.
I made her chocolate cupcakes as she wished.

Favorite gift...shoes. That's my girl.
Love this!

Just for fun...

All three of the girls at six months old...

Grace 2006
Olivia 2008
Harper 2011

Harper's sixth month stats

Harper went to her sixth month appointment on the 8th and did awesome. She is developing right on schedule and continues to grow strong. She weighed in at 17 pounds and 10 ounces and was 26 1/2 inches long. Putting her in the 75th percentile for both. I don't remember her head measurements but she was over the 95th percentile for the size...Dr. H says it has to be big for the big old brain. She had three shots, cried for thirty seconds and then was over it. She has handled the shots well, if anything it has made her sleep better.

Grace at Five years old

The day Grace was born
Grace's first birthday
Grace's second birthday
Grace's third birthday
Grace's fourth birthday
Grace's fifth birthday
Grace just turned five. I can't believe it...five years old. For some reason she thinks this is a magically number that made her grew up over night. In fact she told Chad and I the other day that she is too old to be our daughter now. haha We can call her our "little girl" but not our daughter. Grace is such a blessing. We prayed for this little girl for years and God blessed us with an amazing sweet child. She is very much an adult pleaser. Now some of that runs out with mom and dad but over all she is a pleaser. Grace has been growing like a weed. I am currently buying her six pants for the spring and size seven shirts. I continue to think she is going to be tall like her daddy. Grace is starting to have an opinion about what clothes she wants to wear or how she wants her hair but I am still able to persuade her into what mama thinks is best. Grace continues to really enjoy school. She has two wonderful teachers and pretends she is them all the time at home. Just the other day she told Chad and I that when she got bigger she was going to college. And after college she was going to be a teacher. I am not ready for her to be planning leaving home just yet but I am so glad the word college is already in her vocabulary. She also enjoys gymnastics and soccer. She is doing really well in both. She has her cartwheels down pat and is now working on hand stands. And is currently playing with mostly boys in soccer. So glad she is not afraid of those boys and plays very hard against them. Switching to a new church has been very good for Grace. She is now in class on Sunday mornings with kids she goes to school with. She comes home on Sundays telling us her bible verse for the month. She also reminds me every night to read a story out of the bible and pray with her. She already knows who her heavenly Father is and is proud to tell you that He lives in her heart. And I just have to add that she says the sweetest prayers talking to God and not just memorization prayers. Grace continues to be a leader among her friends and sisters although is shy around new adults that talk to her. She is my big helper with Harper. She likes to make her laugh, feed her a bottle, hold her and just started carrying her around the house. Grace still loves cuddling with Chad and I on the sofa. She completely adores her daddy. Grace enjoys watching TV, she is beyond the cute Disney and now likes Hannah Montanta and reality shows. Her favorite things in the house to do is play is pretend (house or school), magnet blocks, coloring or anything arts and crafts, and helping mommy or daddy around the house.
***Took Grace to her 5 year check up on 4-5-11. She weighed in at 44.2 lbs and 44 3/4 inches tall. This put her in the 75% for weight and 90% for height. Everything else looked great.

Harper at Six Months

I am behind on several post but I am starting with Harper and Grace. So you may find some out of order.
Harper is now six months old and loving life. She is very alert to what is going on around her now. She wants what her sisters have and will lean in and grab what she wants. She is a BIG hair puller and gets all of us. She absolutely loves playing in her exersaucer. She can stay in that thing for almost an hour. She can see everything that is going on around her, play with the toys on it, see TV and even pulls them down to suck on toys. Harper is on a great schedule. She is officially sleeping through the night, takes two good naps and a catnap in the evening. She is breastfeeding twice a day and takes a 6 oz bottle three times. She now eats solids three times a a day. She also started on puffs and a sippy cup. Love watching her try to get those puffs to her mouth. Harper can roll over both ways but would much rather stay on her stomach and inch forward on her belly. She pushes up on her arms very well. I love walking into her room when she wakes and see her peeking over her bumper. She is sitting up with very little support. She is babbling ALOT. She is saying bababa and dadada. And honestly she has dadada a lot more when her daddy is around. I don't think I heard it for four days start when he was out of town but as soon as he got home she couldn't stop saying it. Even the girls at church remark to us about how much she talks. She is a very happy girl! The only time I hear her whine is when she is hungry or tired. Even when she wakes up she plays in her crib talking away. Love this girl!!!

A special trait of Harper when she is happy....she rolls her ankles.
