2011 Snow and Ice lock in

We woke up to snow on January 10th, a lot of snow. We had six inches at our house. Chad and the girls went out in it the first day but only for a few minutes because the snow had turned into frozen rain. The snow was gorgeous but the ice on top of the snow shut down Atlanta for a week. It's the first time I have ever known our schools to close for a whole week! We had fun hanging out in the warm house. We watched movies, made snow ice cream, played with stuff the girls got for Christmas and cooked some yummy food. On day two I took the girls out and we sled down the neighbors drive on cookie sheets. Olivia spent a lot of time falling down and wasn't the happiest outside but pushed through it and played. Grace LOVED being outside and didn't want to come back in. Harper didn't make it outside this time. She had a nasty little cold and cough. We ended up making it through the ice in Chad's truck to the doctors on Wednesday to find out Harper had bronchitis.

Love them both

I just love this picture. I have heard that Harper favors my dad. What an honor, I hope she ends up with his looks and his heart.

Trip to South Carolina

So excited that these two finally got to meet. Harper with her Great Grandmother, Gigi.
Gigi with all her great grandkids
Loved spending time with my sister as always. Looking forward to the dream of living close to each other one day. Are you reading this Chad? Still waiting for you to get a position in South Carolina!
Grace with my cousin's daughter, Katie.
What does that make them? 2nd cousins, 3rd cousins????
Grace has always loved hanging out with older people. She feel in love with my cousin, Scott. When we pulled into our neighborhood back in GA, Grace told me that she missed Scott and wished he could come to her birthday party. Another reason we need to live in South Carolina. ;)
All the kids with Uncle John and Aunt Kathy
I am not sure why but I love this picture of the five of them. Only one is smiling but it is just so darn cute!

Chick fil a Bowl

South Carolina finally made it to the Chick-fil-a bowl and Paw Paw was still able to pull a few strings and get us three tickets. We thought it would be fun to bring Grace with us. I believe she enjoyed a little mommy and daddy time without having to compete with her two younger sisters. We were sad that the Gamecocks lost but we still had a lot of fun. Some of my great memories from the night was...Grace falling asleep on the way to the game and waking up to the Atlanta skyline. The joy of putting tattoos on our face. Grace's wide eyes watching all the people and the game. Listening to Chad explain to her what team she was pulling for. The excited she had when Paw Paw brought back a HUGE tub of popcorn. AND...watching the Fl State moron in front of us...he might of been more exciting then the same.

Cute picture of the three of us but I had to try really hard to get a smile because Olivia was very sad that she did not get to go with us. Even tough she had a lot of fun with Ms. Joni.

We did it!!!

Since I meet Chad (16 year ago) he has always told me one of his favorite foods was the flat corn beard his Mema made. Since this past Christmas he asked his mom to make it for him and we watched to see how it was done. So on New Years Day we gave it a try. It took a couple attempts but we did it...or I should say, Chad did it!!!

Meeting Tyler

Erin's little brother arrived into the world in December and the girls have been dying to meet him. So on Thursday of last week Robyn came to visit with the baby. Grace was so excited to get her hands on him. It is so sweet to see her love for babies. And of course Olivia couldn't be left out. Harper and Tyler are just four and half months apart. It seems like a huge difference right now but it won't as they get bigger.

Harper at Five Months

Harper turned five months today. She continues to grow like a weed. She is now in size 3-6 months and 6-12 months clothes. She is barely in size 2 diapers. I put her in a size 3 at night and she still pees through it almost every night.
She is still just rolling over one way, from her tummy to her back. She would rather be upright in a toy then on the floor. If I put her on the floor to play on her belly she rolls right over. And then looks for someone to pick her up. She can push herself up with her arms, she now does it when I lay her down for a nap. She look over her bumper and watches as I leave the room.
Harper is not a good night time sleeper. She is starting to get into a really good routine during the day of two good long naps and maybe a little catnap in the evening. BUT she still wakes at least once a night, sometimes three or four times. I guess it is almost time for the "cry it out" method, I'm just afraid of her waking up Olivia at night.
The girl loves to eat. She is still bottle feeding and breastfeeding, 50/50. She is now eating cereal twice a day and is starting on baby food. I have made up some homemade food in hopes that it will help with her reflux. So far she has tried pears and sweet potatoes and loves them both.
Harper is becoming a little ham. The first picture is my favorite thing she does right now. She loves snorting to get our attention. It is so cute and she can now do it on command. She tolerates a lot from her big sisters...including Olivia always holding her hands or rubbing their faces together and Grace holding her and carrying her around the room. She is a very happy baby. The only times she cries is if she is hungry or tired. She is another of my girls that wants to be laid down to fall asleep so she can get very cranky in the car or stroller if she is sleepy and no crib is in sight.
Harper is a Blessing to all of us!

Mimi and Pops

We had our first Christmas with Mimi and Pops. The girls were loving the that we got to open presents again. They got some awesome stuff!
Hanging out with Aunt Jackie
Harper watching her new bear
Gracie loving the Pillow Pet!!!

White Christmas

We came home on Christmas evening to a beautiful white blanket of snow at our house and wonderful huge flakes! My first white Christmas!
Grace was excited and tried to catch snow flakes on her tongue.
Harper's very first snow!
Out in the snow and ready to play at 8:30 the next morning.

I love love love watching Chad playing with the girls. But sometimes he takes it a little too far. In the picture below he hit Grace square in the face with a snowball. Their were tears.
Here is Grace getting daddy back!
