Fall Festival

We went to a fall festival at our new church on Sunday. The girls were so excited to go and they had a great time. They were so happy to be in their Halloween customs and they looked so cute.

The hit was the petting farm. Grace wanted to hold an animal SO bad but never got up the nerve to do it.

A recently newborn bunny.
They loved the games because they handed out candy.
Grace was happy to ride the horse. Olivia was eager to ride but only lasted about 10 seconds on it. She then kept telling everybody that, "I didn't like it". Anytime the white horse she sat on would pass, she would say again, "I didn't like it". See the video below...I tried to get her to say her famous line but eventually just had to prompt her.

Happy Harper

I was impressed that both girls tried this game since they had to be blindfolded. Grace actually did a very good job.

Slow week

It's been a slow week at the Maddox house. This week has been full of just being on our little routine. Sunday - church in morning (we have changed churches and closer to home so that Grace can go to church with peers from school) grocery shopping, small group in the afternoon, and Chad playing in a soccer game at night. Monday school day for Grace. Tuesday Grace and Olivia had school and I had Mom's small group while they are at school, Tuesday evening is soccer practice. Wednesday Grace is at school. Thursday both girls were at school and I ran errands. Friday everybody was at home. Every day Erin and Aidan come over and each night Chad is gone to some sort of soccer thing (reffing, coaching or playing).
The only excitement this week was Olivia deciding she wanted to wear panties again. Hopefully this time we are really saying good bye to pull ups.
This week at school Grace studied the letter "P". On Wednesday they talked about Pets...I dropped Grace off as a little girl and picked her up as a pet dog. :)

Olivia being her sweet nutty self.
Cowboy hat and high heels.
Harper remains sweet and is back to being more content since I started her on the pear juice. Chad and I went on a date last weekend and took our little one with us. When we got home this is where the two ended up. So sweet to hear Chad talking to her and Harper cooing back!
The girl has the best smile but she is camera shy. I can't seem to get her big smile in a picture but her are a few attempts.

Harper Dr Appointment

On Tuesday I took Harper for her 2 month doctors appointment. Dr. Hutchins said Harper was looking great. She weighed in at 11 lbs 5 ozs and was 23 1/2 inches long. That puts her in the 66% for weight and 90% for height. We decided not to give any reflux medicine because we think most of her pain is due to gas in her tummy and not acid. So we started her on a little pear juice once a day to see if that will help move things around in her belly. Harper received four vaccinations. Three were shots and one was oral. She only cried for about two seconds and then she was fine. She did great!

Harper is starting to sit in the bumbo seat. She doesn't last very long but she enjoys sitting up.
This is were she spends most of her time while I do things in the kitchen. I don't know if she likes it because she is laying down or because she can see me.

Burt's Pumpkin Patch

Today we went for our annual pumpkin patch trip to Burt's in Dawsonville. We had a great time and it was extra special because Mimi an Pops came with us.

So sweet

At the end of the trip...she wasn't so excited about taking more pictures.
Chasing leafs
How Harper spent most of the trip...and happy as can be in there.
We waited forEVER for the hayride. But so worth it, the girls really enjoyed it.

Gracie excited because we were finally our turn to get on the wagon.
Harper enjoying the ride.
Olivia had a good time and sat on Chad's lap most the time. She kept telling him, "I'm not scared.". HAHA, I think she was a little apprehensive of what was going on.
