Olivia is FOUR

Olivia turned four on the 29th of February. So yes, even though she is four, this was her 1st birthday!
Olivia is still our crazy girl. She beats to her own drum. She is currently a mama's girl! She loves to cuddle and be close to me. I love that she ask to "nuggle" on the sofa with me at night. She tries to find a way to our bed at night or early in the morning. And for some reason if she does end up in our bed she tends to sleep really late. She has a great sense of humor and loves to make people smile. She will do a little dance or shake her booty just to get a reaction out of you. She enjoys going to school but does not come home telling me very much. The main things I hear when she gets in the car is the low down of the food in her lunchbox and if they played on the playground. She still is shy around others. We have been working really hard at her just responding with one word answers with other adults. Olivia loves her sisters. She looks up to Grace and will ask me several times a day about when the bus will get her home. They have their sisterly moments and Olivia certainly knows how to push Grace's buttons but the love each other more then those moments. She is very much a care giver for Harper and often will make Harp cry just because she might be a little over bearing. She doesn't like her to cry and will talk very sweetly to her, rub her belly or find her a paci or sipy cup. Olivia sets her own mood and you never quit know what it's going to be. One day you can ask her if she will clean her room and she will lay on the floor screaming she is too tired and she just can't do it. Another day, you can ask her the same question and she will make her room prefect. She loves to help me in the kitchen. Any time I bake she has a chair pulled up to the counter begging to help any way she can. She is an ok eater. She mainly grazes all day...yogurt, cheese sticks, apples, goldfish...if she is bored, she ask to eat. Her favorite food is pizza. She eats very little veggies but will ask to eat salad and dip (salad dressing). She is doing a great job writing her name...my favorite part are the big dots for the "i". She has become very interested in writing and will ask how to spell names of the family. She knows all colors and shapes and most letters and numbers to 10. She colors great inside of the lines.
At her four year check up she weighed in at 36.6 pounds and was 41 inches tall. It puts her in the 75 % for both height and weight. She also received four shots. SO proud of her. No tears!!! She was very brave and knew they were coming. By the fourth shot she was holding her lip with her teeth trying to stay strong. Love this girl!
Some things Olivia does that makes her our "crazy girl":
Calls her freckles...sprinkles.
Woke up in the middle of the night crying, she told me "when I choke myself it hurts"
If she accidentally puts her shoes on the wrong feet and you correct her she will say "that's ok, they feel good".

My Leap Year Baby

Our Leap Year baby was able to celebrate her first birthday this year. Being she is still so young she does not understand the leap year thing. But we were excited for her. She even had school on this day and was able to celebrate with friends. Maw Maw and Paw Paw picked her up after school and they went to eat yogurt and get a fun gift at Learning Express. We then went out for pizza (her favorite) for dinner.
The traditional birthday dougnut
She had been talking about this day for a long time. And was super excited to celebrate at school. She wanted to hand out all the napkins and cupcakes to her classmates.
Such a cute look while the class was singing to her
Made mini cupcake cones to celebrate with class
The weekend before her birthday we were able to met up with family to celebrate her birthday. It's always a fun time when we get to hang out with our cousins, Aunt KK and Maw Maw and Paw Paw

Harper's first haircut

After going back and forth for a few weeks, I finally decided to get Harper's hair cut. I am glad I did because she looks SO cute. But the place we went was not very good. Grace and Olivia had their first cuts at the same place but under different management and man did it make a difference. And although the pictures below show Harper sitting and enjoying a sucker during the cut, that only happened during about 10% of the cut. The rest of the time she was crying and wrestling us.

Father/Daughter Dance

Today melted my heart. Grace and Chad went on their first father/daughter dance. Grace was extremely excited. She went shopping with me to buy a dress. She insisted on going to Justice. I am not even sure how she knows about this store. Not only did she want the dress but the jacket to go with it. She did do a good job picking it out.
She was so cute as the left, holding Chad's hand and pulling him along. BUT Chad said she turned into her shy little self when they showed up. She didn't want to dance but stand around and watch everybody else.

HARPER

Love this girl! She is silly and serious and sweet and funny. Just love her!

The only way I can keep her still at the park. She is very independent and all over the place. Including the top of the slides.
Loves baby dolls and stuff animals.
Using a few diapers to change diapers.

And she loves real babies!!!

Harper at 18 months

Harper is 18 months and such a cutie pie! I find myself saying at least once a day...she is just SO cute! Harper totally knows how to be the center of the room and completely works the crowd. As soon as she hears music she starts dancing and shaking. She tries to sing songs and zones in on a single word of the song. For example if she sings "Jesus loves me" and hear...lalalalalaMElalalalalME. She is really doing well talking. I wrote down all the words she was saying before I took her 18 month check up and it was around 40. She will try to repeat anything though. She calls everybody in the house when she wants them. Mommy - mama, Daddy - dada, Grace - Gace, Olivia - Lulu. Her two favorite words are stop and mine. Harper plays very well with the older kids. She will go into the big girls room and play for half and hour. I have never had to worry about her putting toys in her mouth etc. BUT I did find her in the bathroom a few weeks ago playing in the potty. She loves the bath and I am super excited to see what she will be like this summer in the pool. She can be a little dare devil and loves to climb on things. She loves animals and is the only one in the house that will let the dog lick her all over. She is showing no signs of potty training (which i am not sad about) but will bring me diapers and lay on the floor when ready for a change. Harper does great in the church nursery and shows almost no signs of separation anxiety. She is loving her daddy time and runs to him as soon as he gets home from work. At her 18 month check up she weighed in at 26.3 lbs and 32 1/2 inches tall. (75% percentile for both)

The girl knows how to throw a good fit when things don't go her way. But mainly mommy just sees this. She is the only child I have ever left a restaurant before the meal was finished.

Loved being part of a big girl birthday party

Messing around with big sister stuff

Moved the kitchen chair into the den then climbed up to watch tv

Valentine's

I love Valentine's day. I love the new website Pinterest. And by the looks of all the Valentine's Olivia got, I am not the only one that has a obsession with Pinterest.
This year the girls really got into making the cards with me. And good thing because Grace had over 20 to make this year.

The girls had a "heart attack" on their doors when they woke up. They need to be told often how awesome they are!
And daddy as always took care of his girls! Each of us received flowers and sweets! He is the best!!!!
