Last days of extra kiddos

Today, June 1st, was the last day of keeping kiddos for the 2010-2011 school year. We had a fun day of sprinklers, popsicles and just having fun. Grace and Olivia will miss there buddies Aidan and Erin but the summer will go by fast.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went up just for a day over the long Memorial day weekend. I didn't take a lot of pictures but we had a great time with family and celebrating Hudson's birthday. The two big events were that Olivia rode the jet ski for the first time and it was Grace's last time wearing swimmies in the pool. At the time we had no idea it was her last time but sometimes the "last" are just as much a memory as the "first". And Olivia was super brave wanting the ride the jet ski and she absolutely loved it! She asked to go out several times in just one after!

CHOA

We had our first experience with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Olivia has been complaining of her tummy hurting off and on for about four months. I kind of blow her off thinking it was just one more excuse she was giving us for not wanting to do anything. Then in February she starting randomly throwing up. Between February and April she had thrown up nine times. At first I would tell myself that she was just carsick or it was because she had an ear infection. Then one night I went to give her one last kiss before I hit the bed and I found her sleeping in her own vomit. That's when I decided something else was going on. So our pediatrician sent us to CHOA for an upper GI. I was very nervous about Olivia drinking the barium and laying on the table but the staff there was outstanding!!! They mixed her barium with chocolate syrup and had movies playing while she laid under the machine. She did great! Chad and I were super impressed. As we left they gave her a big old balloon and stickers. The test showed that all her anatomy looked great but it showed her refluxing. And it was also determined that she has a bad case of motion sickness. So Olivia is currently on 30 mg of Prevacid a day for GERD and we give her Benadryl when she is in the car longer then 15 minutes. So far in the last four weeks she has only complained of her tummy once.

God Parents

Chad and I received a great new title...God Parents. Our nephew, Brayden Everrett Maddox, is the cutest thing! We drove to Illinois to be part of his baptism. The girls did awesome in the car and it was such a treat to spend three days with Chad's family. My girls just loved each one of them.

Grace loves her uncle RyRy and he still calls her by the name G-Baby. She loves her nickname. Ryan wrote it on a water bottle the first day and Grace carried it around till we left. She takes great honor in her name.
Had a great little bonfire. And I was so proud of Olivia for holding a sparkler.
Brayden and Harper are so cute together. We loved putting them in a cart together and since they are only six weeks apart we got a lot of, "Are the twins?".
The hotel we stayed in had a pool so the kids were dying to swim. We had a fun evening of swimming and then eating pizza together.
The cute ones....
Two of my cute nephews.
Love watching Ryan and Chad being daddy's together.

Big Girl Seat

At 9 1/2 months Harper got moved into a big girl car seat. We were leaving soon to go to Illinois...12 hours one way and I wanted to make sure she was safe and comfy. And not to mention she was getting pretty heavy to carry around in the infant seat. She loved her new seat!!!

Grace's last day of preschool...

Today was Grace's last day of preschool...forever. What a bittersweet day. Grace had a ton of fun with all her friends. I think she would of been sad if she really realized that this was the last days to see many of her friends. Her teachers this year were "out of this world"! They didn't just teach Grace a lot academically but made sure that Jesus was the center of each day. You could see the love of Jesus shinning through each of them every day. I remember several months back I had a horrible cold. One afternoon on the way home from school Grace commented that the class prayed for me. Of course I questioned her...,"You prayed for ME?". And she then said that she told her teachers I didn't feel good so the class prayed for me. How cool is that. I sure am going to miss that in public school.

Cute little Payton was in Grace's two year old class and then have continued to stay friends just by seeing each other on the playground. Grace calls her, "her playground best friend".

It will be sad next year for these two not to be together.

Last Day of School

The first sign that summer is just around the corner...the last day of school. I don't that that either girl really understand what it means but I am one happy mama. So excited about everything we will do together, just us girls, during the summer

Grace's Preschool Graduation

WOW! I can't believe my firstborn is finished with preschool. I have loved her school, the teachers and the friends we have met. I am so glad that we get to watch Olivia and Harper go through the same school. Grace started three years ago in the 2 year old class two days a week and finished up this year in the four year old class four days a week.
Graduation was precious. The kids came down the aisle to a fast paced song, each class sang a cute song, and then they got their littler diploma as the director stated what they wanted to be when they grew up. It was fun to hear what four/five years old thought they would be in twenty years.
