Sitting Up

Harper has been very content just laying around on the floor so I was very surprised when I walked into her room on April 20 to find her sitting up in her crib. It's been a week now and she is very good at sitting up on her own. And she has even pulled up to her feet once.

Another Year Older

I am another year older. As you get older your birthday is just not as exciting as it was when you are younger. BUT it is fun to celebrate with your kids. They were so excited for me. Olivia kept asking me when my party was going to be and Grace asked what kind of cake I was going to have. Grace went out with Chad and bought me a present, flowers and cupcakes. Chad also grilled me a wonderful dinner. The night before my birthday we went to dinner with my parents. Great week of celebrating.

Easter Party at School

Both girls were very excited to have Easter Parties at school. But I think they actually really like having mom and dad at school with them. It is hard for me to be able to be in both rooms during these special days but Chad has been awesome about stepping in.

Grace had a Chick-fil-a lunch, an egg hunt and then kite flying.

Olivia had an egg hunt, McDonald's lunch and then cookie decorating.

Grace needed NO help egg hunting this year. Her teachers told her that she could only have 12 eggs. She did a great job find her 12 then stopping.

Olivia's sweet class...so hard to get them to all look at the same time.

Olivia was more concerned about her basket being on her shoulders then finding lots of eggs.

1st Easter Egg Hunt at Graystone

Our new church, Graystone, had their very first egg hunt on the 17th. Chad and I both participated by stuffing eggs and spreading them. Both Grace and Olivia also helped with the eggs. Love serving as a family. We then had fun with games, petting bunnies, the hunt and eating The Varsity!

I love these two pictures because usually Olivia just picks whatever Grace does. But not today, Olivia decided she wanted a bunny on her face even though Grace had a basket.

Olivia happily picked up about four eggs and then told me she was done..."I have have enough". But in the days after was sad because she didn't have as much candy as Grace.

Harper is in Full Bloom

Last week (at 8 1/2 months) Harper decided to hit many milestones.

On April 12th, she said "mama". Love that sound! Grace was in the car with me and we both started cheering really loud!

On April 13th, she started clapping. For a few days she was very confused weather or not to clap or wave. She has now become very good a waving at everybody and everything she sees and clapping when someone says "yay".

On April 14th, she started army crawling...and she is fast. Every time I put her down she crawls to the sofa to see if there are any treasures. Last week she found skittle and sucked off half the dye before I could get to her.

Over the weekend she decided that she was done with baby food. She refuses anything spoon food right now and absolutely loves finger foods.

Spring Break 2011

This year I really enjoyed my spring break with the girls. It was a fun filled packed week until Thursday...when Olivia got a 103 temperature...another double ear infection. :( Pictures below show our fun week!

Saturday was started with Grace's soccer game. No pictures but I will brag about her scoring 10 goals!!! Then we went to a Loganville High School baseball game. The girls did pretty good even though it is a slower paced game then soccer.

During the weekend we also enjoyed the wonderful weather by playing outdoors in our backyard. The girls love the trampoline and Grace is getting to become a little dare devil.
