Harper will be eight weeks old on Monday. She is growing like a weed. Just a few short weeks, even days ago, she was barely fitting into 0-3 month clothes, she now fills them out and some are even too small. She is either super happy or very fussy...there is no happy in-between. She seems to have a lot of gas on her belly that upsets her. She is smiling now and it is SO cute...although it does take a lot to get it out of her. She is holding her head up well and enjoys looking at shadows and lights on the ceiling. Harper loves being outside. She is on a pretty good routine...goes to bed around nine after breastfeeding and a formula bottle, sleeps anywhere between six and eight hours, wakes for the morning around eight and then breastfeeds every three hours during the day. She is awake for about an hour after she eats then takes either cat naps or a long nap till her next feeding. She has brought much happiness to the Maddox Family.
We decided to take the girls to their first fair experience this weekend. The Gwinnett County Fair is in town and I hadn't been in YEARS! I really didn't know what to expect other then rides and fair food. I didn't realize how much Grace and Olivia could do and would want to do. And I didn't realize how much money it cost to buy tickets.
I had told Grace the day before that we were planning to go. That was a mistake...she asked about going every hour for that full 24 hours (she even had a hard time sleeping bc of her excitement). The first thing she wanted to do when she got there was ride the farris wheel. So we headed for the first ride. Chad took Olivia with him but we both thought she wouldn't do it. She did and she LOVED it, they both loved it. Chad said halfway through the ride Olivia was sitting on her knees so that she could see out.
Harper was a trooper. She slept the first two hours we were there. I guess she liked the heat, bumpy ride and all the noises. Olivia started running when she saw the merry go round. So this was our second ride. If Grace was tall enough I think she would of ridden everything!
The girls loved all the little kid rides.
Even though it is middle of September and should be 83 degrees, it isn't! It was 94 degrees the afternoon we went to the fair. She all enjoyed walking through the mister. Grace's first baby roller coaster ride. She told us it was her favorite ride. Yes...you can find time out spots even at the fair. Believe it or not, the girls were in love with watching the cattle. So much to see and do. The girls were in aweeeee..... of the ride that went upside down. Harper enjoying the sites. The girls played one game and both won a prize. You can't go to the fair without getting funnel cake.
Grace had a been fun week this past week. Our biggest event was her first soccer game! She was so excited to go and did so much better then I thought she would. She did SO well. She showed some aggression and made two goals!!!
Grace also had her first gymnastics class. The class is held right after school at the school for ten weeks. She came out of her first day with all smiles! She is excited to be able to practice her flips and cartwheels.
She also celebrated Mikey day at school. She is loving preschool.
This past weekend was going to be fun. Grace had her first soccer game on Saturday morning and then the girls were invited to a birthday party with horses and bunnies. But instead we were home...with a stomach bug. Not what I had planned!
Grace woke up in the middle of Friday night vomiting. She threw up several times during the night and woke up puny the next day. No temperature or any other symptom. She had stopped throwing up by 9 on Saturday morning. But we spent the day in the house (keeping germs away from each other and cleaning up germs). All three girls took naps at the same time and we were able to watch college football together that afternoon. I guess it wasn't half a bad day!
Our third little girl is full of spunk. She is the youngest but tries the hardest to keep up with her big sisters. She is a sweet little mama's girl who LOVES to be the center of attention.
Olivia
My second child. The CRAZY one! This child gets in less trouble then any child I have been around just because she is so funny I can't get serious with her. She loves being the center of attention and is the loudest in the house. She brings the house alive every day!
Grace
The big sister. A very sensitive child who loves on her family and friends. She is a little apprehensive of the unknown but once she is familiar she becomes alive. She is my creative one who loves making things. People love her eyes and say it makes her look like a Precious Moments.
